Where do small jewellery shops buy their stock from?

Hey just a quick question, I have to write about the distribution channels of two independent stores located around where I live. I picked a small corner shop and a jewellers, however im stuck on the jewellers. Where would they buy their stock from? Would they just go to like warehouses and wholesalers or what, would really appreciate any help, thank you :)
